Fresh from the counter.
The animals at Talton Farm play an important part in the farming
method and at the same time produce meat of exceptional quality.
All animals are carefully hand-reared and free range. Chickens
are housed
in small moveable pens so they always have fresh grass on
which to roam. Cattle are reared outdoors and emphasis is
put on a stress free environment which results in excellent,
tender, succulent beef.
We also sell locally reared free range turkeys, geese, ducks
and home produced chicken for Christmas.

Pork
comes from cross bred traditional breeds of pigs who not only
rid
the fields of weeds and add nutrients at the same time, but
produce the tastiest pork with the best crackling ever! Sausages
and burgers are amongst the most popular products - all produced
by our butcher from
our own meat. There's usually a choice of up to 10 different
flavours of sausage - try pork, apricot and ginger or Talton
Smokies, a hot smoked garlic sausage. |

| Local wild venison
is usually available. Only the best carcases are selected
by a highly skilled marksman. It is then hung for 10 days
- 2 weeks and produces an exceptional quality meat with a
very low fat content. We also supply other game, please see the Game section. |
